$15/hr for a (certified, K) teacher for our 3 boys. We're in the Midwest but one of the more expensive areas. She does a little driving (pick up), and minimal dinner prep, no other household things.

$12/hr for our babysitter that's in nursing school, and we usually round up. Seems low, but I don't know one single person in my area (LCOL) that pays more than that unless it's a nanny they hired as an actual job on care.com, etc.

in our low COL area we pay $10/hr for 3 kids, ages 12.10.6. Generally our sitters are high school or college aged. Sitting usually involves only a few hours of awake time and feeding them pre-done dinner.

$25 an hour for 4 hours one afternoon. This is for 2 10 year olds.
I checked with 4 sitters and all quoted me this price. I was gobsmacked.
We do $15 for our evening sitter. She's an experienced nanny with a full time nanny job. We negotiated a blended rate because our children goto bed fairly early. For at least half her evening here, she is watching tv or playing on her iPad.
M/HCOL and I pay my college aged sitter $15p/h. She's graduating with a nursing degree, first aid certified, is very hands on, and exhausts all other options before they get any screen time. I stared her lower, but this will be her 4th summer with us and I had to pay her a little more. I only need her a few times a week and I knew she was interviewing with other families to fill her weeks over the summer. She gave us priority and I gave her a raise.
ETA: this is for 3 DC ages from almost 7 to almost 4.

I get it, but the sitter is picking my 10 year olds up from school, walking about 8 blocks, and then sitting and doing her own homework (she is older, but in college) while my kids swim. She is awesome and that does seem to be the going rate, but wow, it is high.
