Thank you for checking in. DC's fever has been holding around 103-104F. Advil has controlled it (haven't needed to alternate with Tylenol), but we're all pretty tired from middle of the night wakings. We were hoping the fever broke last night, but it came back this afternoon. Luckily, it's only about 101.5 and DC is acting much better with it. The last couple of days, DC was miserable even at 100.5. So I think the bug is easing, but this is a doozy. Our pedi said this virus is going around and is lasting 1-2 weeks (high fevers, cough, and throwing up).

DD1 always gets high fevers, she will go from 98 to 104-105 without any stop in between. The warm bath has been the best way for us to control her fever in the past, better than meds. she feels better in the bath when she has a high fever, too. in terms of alternating, ibuprophen is mostly processed through the kidneys in a totally different mechanism than tylenol (liver), which is why it is safe to alternate. Hope DC feels letter soon!

fingers crossed for a better night tonight. Hopefully the worst will be over in another day or 2.
