If you can't get the goodreads thing to work you can always do the same thing on Amazon. Go type in the name of a book you really liked and then see what other purchases Amazon recommends. I've stocked a bunch of books in my cart like this, and then I refer to the cart when I want to buy a book or check one out from the library. I also add books to my cart based on threads like this one.

I read Sarah Addison Allen's The Peach Keeper and really liked it. Forgot about that one. I am waiting for the others to be available at my library.

Where'd You Go Bernadette? was great because it reminded me of a lady I used to nanny for.

Thanks so much! I'll add these to my list.

I have read Where'd You Go, Bernadette? and I thought it was just so-so.

I loved the Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and loved it, but it is heavy and IME people either love it or hate it.

What did you think of Orphan Train? I was all set to buy it, but then read some very critical reviews on Goodreads.

I loved Orphan Train! You should definitely give it a try!

Actually, the author of Still Alice didn't write Big Little Lies. The author of Big Little Lies did write a book called What Alice Forgot. Very similar titles!

I just ordered All the Light We Cannot See from Amazon. Plus, I ordered The Shadow of the Wind and The Boys in the Boat.

I have actually been reading Young Adult lately because my concentration isn't great and I am able to get through them quicker than other books. I enjoyed Wonder, The Tiger Rising, Because of Winn Dixie, The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series. Also, I don't usually like fantasy/science fiction or horrible violence, but I liked The Hunger Games...

You may have read these, but older "adult" favorites:
The Incidence of the Dog in the Night time
    Bel Canto
    Water for Elephants
    Stones from the River
    The Rosie Project
    #1 Ladies Detective Agency series

Just started The Church of Marvels and I like it...

You are right! I always get those two confused. I'm glad you and Philly Mom liked Orphan Train. I just finished my last book and will start that one next. Thanks!
