DH has an important meeting/interview today at 1245 PST. If things go well, it would be revolutionary for our family - no exaggeration! We have needed something new for a loooong time, and he's been afraid to look for various reasons. He had just started taking some steps 6 months ago when he found out about this opportunity. Which is literally perfect (it seems at this point), but the process has been sooo slow going that at times we questioned whether it would actually happen. So, we've had a long time of thinking, "Hey, if you get that new job,...." So we are very excited things are moving in the right direction at last. But he hasn't been interviewed for about 15 years and is feeling the nerves, for sure. Didn't sleep much last night.
Prepping for it has been extra tricky because he's not even sure it's an interview! Or if he's already got it and they just want him to meet everyone. But he prepped as if it were an interview and bought a new suit (which he also hasn't worn for 15 yrs!) etc. So I'm hoping that makes him more confident rather than less. He's meeting the whole team of 12 or so partners, most of whom he already has a working relationship with, and who will be in the midst of a busy workday (so, not wearing suits) and he wonders if they will come in and start joking with him ("aw, c'mon, you didn't buy a new suit for this, did you?").
OK I'll stop rambling. But if you can spare some mojo for him today, I'd appreciate it!
