Bathroom remodel - help me choose vanity lights!

We just ordered a few from Restoration Hardware for a new bathroom. Another good place is Lamps Plus.
We tend to get sconces, and have them so the lightpulb is adult head height as you are looking at the mirror - this is supposedly the best light height for doing hair, brushing teeth, etc. Of course, I need a make up mirror that is magnefied and illuminated b/c I can't see well.

Wish I could do sconces but the mirror takes up that whole wall. I looked at Lamps Plus. I think I'll need to hit the local lighting stores again so I can see some of these to scale. Its so hard to know if it will work when its just a pic of a light...

Have you considered mirror mounted sconces? This website has some examples.

We are doing sconces in the mirror in our new master, but I think it would probably cost you with rewiring, so definitely something to consider. Love the look.

I find lighting to be so hard...just for some different looks than the typical vanity bar

I agree that the original lighting options linked to were fussy and, honestly, already dated. I will post some of my favs from Houzz when I am on laptop. I think lighting in bathroom is soooo important. Worth taking the time to get right. Don't rush just to get it done.

I wanted to do that but DH says they remind him of hotel bathrooms, he also nixed the chandelier I wanted in there.

I really like the first one but it doesn't come in chrome.
