Default Blinking eyes repeatedly should I be concerned?

For the past 2 days DS blinks both eyes for about 1/2 a minute and this several times throughout the day. Asking him if something is bothering him is not helpful and he then purposely blinks even more.

He has allergies and since he was rubbing his eyes a lot I put the zaditor eye drops in his eyes 2 days ago once at night. I think more than one drop may have gone in by mistake, could that be causing this?

Should I take him in to be seen? He is not complaining or anything, but the blinking is quite dramatic.

It could be a transient tic. I would not say anything about and see if it goes away on its own. DS2 has had a few tics over the years that all go away after a short period of time.

I agree that it sounds like a transient tic and that you should just ignore it. DS does a throat clearing thing that comes and goes.

I agree re transient tic. DC does a jaw thing and pedi said its a transient tic. Btw we use those same eye drops and I don't think that's it.

My DS1 had that about 6 months ago. It was a tic that lasted for a few weeks and then went away. I'd just ignore it for now.

DS1 has gotten an eye blinking tic twice when he was younger. Both times, I started giving him Natural Calm magnesium and it went away right away (within 24 hours).
