Default At what age typically outgrow Britax frontier?

I need to replace a Britax Frontier carseat (that was in an accident) for a small 5 year old. I had planned on just getting the latest Britax Frontier, but wondering if I should be thinking about getting whatever the "next" carseat would be (not that I even know what that would be as I didn't think this would be on my radar for awhile)? Or just get another Frontier if it's going to last awhile? Thanks in advance for any advice/thoughts!

Good to know! If it will last 2 or 3 more years I'll definitely get a Frontier. I love the clicktight!

2...3...probably like 6, honestly, it's a super tall booster and most kids need a booster till at least age 10 . If you love it, can't go wrong. (Just FWIW, it's best to use it harnessed till about 7, because as a booster it's kind of bulky and they need the extra arm strength/length to reach over to get the belt far enough out to buckle).

DS2 will be 7 in May and still uses his FR90 in harness mode and still has room to grow. He's 50" tall and 54lbs. DS1 used the FR85 in booster mode till he was 9 or 10 and still had room to grow but I needed it passed down to DS2.

My almost 4' tall almost 6 yr. old is still using her Frontier 90 harnessed (she does us a belted booster in DH's car and in other people's cars) without a problem. Dd1 used our old Frontier 80 as a booster from 5/1/2 until she was almost 9. I think I will like the Frontier 90 better as a belted booster as well so I can see Dd2 using it as one until she is 9 or 10, but agree with Julie it will be a better booster at around 7.

DS1 is almost 7 and around 47", and he is still harnessed in the frontier 90 in one car. We switched him to a HBB in the other car only because the convertible DS2 was riding in expired and we shifted the frontier in that car to ds2. I bought the frontier 90 specifically because it had a much higher torso height than any other seat. He is very comfortable riding in it still.
