Default If you take Natural Calm at night how much are you taking, and how much do you sleep?

I just started taking this again (on Sat. night) and I am taking it slowly only 1/2 tsp. daily, but this AM I am dead tired. I went to bed at 10:30 and got up at 6:15; I am usually wide awake at 5:30. I am wondering if I am finally getting good sleep or if the Natural Calm is making more sleepy. My DD1 started taking it a few weeks ago and I notice she is sleeping better as well.

I was outdoors for most of the weekend so even though I didn't take my vit. D3 I don't think I am that deficient, and everytime my thyroid is tested it is normal so it isn't that. So either I am really tired or it is the Natural Calm.

I must be getting old, because I was jealous reading your post 😀
I have trouble sleeping. I should try natures calm again! But once in a while I have a good sleep. I think it's my way of trying to catch up, and if you were outside in the sun all weekend, maybe that had something to do with it?

I take 1-2tsp. I don't accurately measure- just use a regular spoon and level it off or heap it a bit depending on if my "digestion" was regular. Lately I could sleep 9-10 hours given an opportunity, and have been exhausted and wanting a nap regardless. I think this time of year makes me more tired- the "May gray/ June gloom" thing and all the extra activities, burn out from the school routines, vacation planning, etc.

Ok help - is Natural Calms for sleep? Or constipation? I am confused by the responses - but I'd love more sleep!

i take 1 tsp. start slowly though..i started with 1/2 tsp and worked my way up. it has somewhat of a laxative effect if you're not used to it

i sleep only 7 hrs during the week and wake up groggy every day but that's bc i don't go to bed until around midnight (and i have to get up at 7am to get DS ready for school). i'm sure i'd sleep longer and feel better and more refreshed if i went to bed earlier but that's totally all on me (im a night owl).

It's good for both. It's also good for anxiety.

Yes that's it. M's old piano teacher suffers with insomnia and she recommended it for my husband who was having trouble sleeping. I started having trouble and since it was in the house, I decided to try it a few months ago. I've been taking it regularly since.
