Default Anyone have a great BEEF STROGANOFF recipe?

My grandmother used to make the most delicious Beef Stroganoff. But it seems that no one has the recipe.
Everyone remembers her cooking it for hours on the stove. It was so good!!

Does anyone have a super delicious Beef Stroganoff recipe?

YES! My recipe is from Cooking Light, so it's super yummy and reasonably healthy! I just googled and can't find the correct recipe, so I'll send it to you tonight when I get home from work.

I use one from Paula Deen and add a small can of diced green chilis.

I have a great one for the instant pot/crock pot. It's slightly adapted from Mable Hoffman's Crockery Cookery book from the 70's.

    Beef Burgundy

    3 slices bacon, roughly chopped
2 lbs sirloin tip, round steak, or beef chuck, cut into 1” cubes
    1/4 cup flour
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp seasoned salt
    1/2 tsp dried marjoram
    1/2 tsp dried thyme
2 bay leaves; fresh is amazing if you can find it
    1/2 tsp pepper
    2 cloves garlic, minced
1 beef bouillon cube (I use 1 tsp jarred Beef Better than Bouillon)
2 cups burgundy or comparable red wine
    1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
    Rice
    Minced green onions
    Crumbled bacon

In large skillet or instant pot, cook bacon several minutes. Remove bacon and set aside. Coat beef with flour and brown on all sides in bacon mixture. Combine beef, bacon drippings, cooked bacon, seasonings, bouillon, and burgundy in slow cooking pot. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until meat is tender. Turn control to high. Add mushrooms; cook on high 15 minutes. Serve over rice and top with crumbled bacon and green onions.

It's really yummy and pretty simple. I usually use 2%Fage plain Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, only because I always have it in the house. Hope you like it too!
