Nuna Pipa vs Mico Max 30
I used a Britax (Companion? Chaperone?) for my now six year old and it was a great seat -- mostly. It was heavy, though, and the handle had to be down.
Since that time, I had 60% of one of my lumbar discs removed, so weight is an important factor for me. I looked at all of the seats with low weights and found myself gravitating towards the rebound bars and load legs so much, especially since the old Britax had one, that I even looked at the Peg and the Asana -- but they were way too heavy.
So I'm down to the Nuna Pipa and the Mico Max 30. Both are comparable weight wise; there is a minor ($50) price difference but not enough to sway me either way.
My one hesitation with the Mico is the somewhat awkward handle. No one seems to know a lot about the Pipa, but I'm very impressed.
Both price ranges are fine; I'm most concerned abou Safety, comfort, and weight (as well as fit in the car) I drive an outback and the seat will be outboard.
What are your thoughts? If you could have either, which would you choose?
