Backpacks?

My son needs a new backpack before September. I'd like to get him a quality one. Any idea when the nicer brands will have good sales? I'm thinking PB, garnet hill, lands end.....

I got got in a L L Bean backpack for DS1. Previously, he used a PBK backpack that last two years. The LL Bean one looks like it will last longer- it's the slightly slippery canvas material but PBK has more features- an extra pocket that I can pack a raincoat in that is separate from his books and not in the pencil pocket and a mesh water bottle pocket on the side. Still on the fence about keeping the LL Bean backpack ��
