Loews Ventana Canyon is beautiful & has a pool.
All of the hotels have pools
Loews isn't especially kid-friendly. Westin La Paloma has a big slide. JW Marriott has a really nice lazy river.
When are you coming and how old are your kids?
Kids are 8 and 6. Hoping for February.

We had a great vacation there with 6 and 8 year olds. Here is my trip report. I would not recommend our hotel, but everything else was great!! http://www.fodors.com/community/unit...rip-report.cfm

If you want a family suite-style property, try Homewood Suites - St Phillips Plaza.
I second all of the suggestions from SH's Fodor report. If you don't want to take a day doing Old Tucson, you can go to Trail Dust Town, which has a cute Western show, have dinner at Pinnacle Peak (bring some old neckties with you), and then wander the plaza to do gold-panning, ride the very small rides, carousel, etc; candy and toy store, vintage photo studio, etc. I also suggest going out to one of the mines for a tour, if possible.
The zoo is not an essential stop, but it's a nice zoo. There are several parks with large splash pads, a great adaptive pool with a play area and lazy river. There's a par 3 golf course that's good for kids.
Horseback riding, hiking (there should be water in Sabino Creek), glider rides, children's museum, etc.
February is our busiest month with Gem Show, Rodeo, Presidents Day tourists, so you need to book *now*. If you have any dinosaur lovers, part of Gem Show is Fossils and Minerals, and some areas are open to the public.
You can day trip to Bisbee or Tombstone.
Thanks all. Now to research and make some reservations!
