Default what footwear does your kids wear for outdoor summer camp?

DS1 will spend 6 weeks of his summer at our town rec summer camp program; a mix of high activity (various sports), arts& crafts, & water play. He outgrew his keen newport scandals.

I'm wondering if another pair of keen newport or merrels? he'll be outside, no chance of getting indoors as it's set in a local park with pavilion tables for lunch only. native type of shoes be enough protection??

    what does your campers wear?

Keens. I prefer the Seacamp over Newport.

Keens. They are our favorite summer camp shoe. We buy a new pair every summer, and get our moneys worth!

Our camp says closed toed sneakers are a must to participate in all activities. They do allow other shoes when they cross the street to the beach for swimming/water sports.

DD has to wear sneakers and socks for Girl Scout camp, but she has a pair of Merrels for the walk from the changing area to the pool.

ETA: Prior to this, Keens (or their equivalent) were fine for daycare camp.
