Default Can the instant pot be used for small quantities?

Can the instant pot be used to make small quantities of food, for example, for one or two people, in addition to large quantities? Slow Cookers seem to work best when they are at least 2/3rd full, so to make smaller quantities you need a smaller slow cooker. Is the same true for the IP? Considering the great deal right now on the 8 qt IP but I really only need to cook for 2 people (for now). Thanks!

Yes definitely esp if you do pot in pot - there is a minimum amount of liquid you need to come to pressure but otherwise small amounts work just fine
