Appparently in next contract they’re arguing for itinerants to get same treatment as teachers and get keys etc as many schools lock teacher restrooms... but lock down policy worked in this case

That only makes sense, and it is sad that they have to put it in the contract, as it should be a common courtesy issue. All of our adult bathrooms throughout the campus are locked. We have one in the office that doesn’t require a key (parents can only use this one.)

We also have lockdowns at least several times a year as we are right by a feeeway and several banks. I hold my breath every time I hear a helicopter overhead.
