Well, neither the dress nor the shoes could be had in my size. I went a completely different route and while I really wanted something besides black, it is hard finding other colors with flattering dresses! So, I went with a black dress and red shoes.

That makes me feel better. I instantly really liked the dress and didn't think "matronly" at all. But I'm 41...
