Default great family resort where Christmas/Santa is really special??

so dh & I decided to take our kids away over the actual xmas break (probably 22nd/23rd through 27th/28th) instead of staying in town.

    criteria:

prefer driving distance of 6 hours MAX from NJ (can fly but imagine flights would be crazy expensive with short notice/over holidays)
AWESOME amenties especially with young kids (boys will be 6.5 and 2 weeks shy of 4)
decent food within resort/or outside immediate resort area
    Santa is big deal
    have indoor pool

    hit me up!

I don’t really understand the Santa requirement. What needs to happen? As folks said in your other thread, there are lots of chances to see Santa all month long. We’ve gone to a brunch with Santa every year, for example. So, what needs to happen at the resort?

just a chance to see Santa. We do have breakfast with Santa next weekend, so maybe not as crucial by time we're away. Just plenty of activities for kids to do.

We were just in Nashville at Opryland hotel and there were a TON of activities. It's not within 6 hours driving, but just an idea. There was ICE, which I wasn't super into, but that's more because my 2yo was freezing and I had to take her out, but there were a million other activities, including Santa.

I bet there are a lot of resorts that would fit the bill though.

living a crazy life with 3 boys

    I am thinking now
    of grief, and of getting past it;
    I feel my boots
    trying to leave the ground,
    I feel my heart
    pumping hard. I want
to think again of dangerous and noble things.
I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,
    as though I had wings.

What abotu the Nemacolin in Pennsylvania? http://www.nemacolin.com/holidays

It is beautiful, they have TONS of activities indoors and out, and even do elf tuck ins

They have lots of different lodging options from hotel rooms to lodges (beautiful). They have a great gymnastics center, kids club, bowling and arcade, skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, spa and indoor pools

I had to stay here once for work and never wanted to leave...
