Default What's your favorite appetizer for holiday party?

I have a small group of friends coming over and want to have a few yummy appetizers for them.

    So far I have :
    Spinach dip with pita chips
    Sausage Balls
    Veggie Tray
    Cheese Christmas tree

Does this cover all the bases? One of my friends only eats meat and I was thinking about doing the small cocktail weiners also. What is your favorite recipe for those?

Also any yummy holiday punch recipes ( with alcohol ) !

    Thanks,
    Ann

Only eats meat?? As in no veggies or fruits or anything else?

I think your spread sounds delicious.

    Awesome punch recipe: https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/f...e-punch-240761

Soft pretzel bites and dipping sauces have become very popular at parties here lately. Last potluck I attended, 3 people brought them (and I almost did too!).

I usually just hit Trader Joe's. I buy stuff for charcuterie like a baguette, great cheese, olives and things like salami. I also love their ham and grueyere flatbread (I buy at least 2 and I should buy more as it goes fast!). Meatballs in BBQ sauce/ jelly (I much prefer those to cocktail weiners). Brie and puff pastry bites are always a hit. I also buy the Trader Joe's bruschetta spread and put it on sliced (but not toasted) baguette (I don't like the crunchy bread).
ETA- caprese skewers are often on my menu too.

Buffalo chicken dip - in a deep dish pie plate, spread softened cream cheese (8oz brick), 1 large can chicken (drained) mixed with Frank's Red Hot (to taste, but up to 1/4c), topped with ranch or blue cheese dressing and shredded cheese (Monterey jack & cheddar blend), baked at 350F until bubbly.

Stuffed or unstuffed, this is my kind of appetizer. My brother-in-law's restaurant does them stuffed with almonds; I like them with goat cheese.

I think I got this recipe from a poster here once, and it was the runaway hit of my holiday party. One of my friends almost ate the whole tray by herself:

I just brought caprese bites to a gathering. Super easy and looked festive!

1/2 grape tomato, some fresh basil, pearl size mozzarella ball, all on a toothpick. Drizzle with balsamic glaze (used the one from Trader Joe's). Delish!

I'm also loving the new Trader Joe's Mini Brie En Croute appetizer right now! I pair each one with a dollap of their fig butter (warmed up). So good!
