DH wanted to take the kids to a show with his family (visiting) so he booked tickets for today. I knew I’d be at peak stress this week with everyone going on so I told him to go without me and booked myself a 90 minute massage with my favorite therapist.
Well, I got a call 2 hours ago from the therapist canceling due to illness. I’m so disappointed - I was REALLY looking forward to relaxing a bit. Sigh.
Now I’m sitting at a Chinese restaurant eating a bowl of soup and feeling sorry for myself. Maybe once I’m done wallowing I’ll go get a pedicure or something.
Totally minor bitch but I’m seriously bummed.

Thanks for the idea! I’ll try that next time. I ended up getting a mani pedi in the brightest most christmassy color I could and then drinking lots of wine tonight.
