Loving this thread! My DD (12) and I are just finishing up Modern Family and I've been wondering what we will watch next. Lots of great ideas here!

I find The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to be asthma-attack funny. I've also enjoyed catching up with Jane the Virgin.

What else do you enjoy watching? I've mostly been watching movies and The Crown, but that's super-serious and not what you're looking for.

If you're looking for something to watch with your kids, and they do OK with fantasy and a little bit scary, DD and I recommend Trollhunters from Guillermo del Toro.

I LOVE Jane the virgin, but one of the story lines might be difficult to watch at this point. I would postpone watching that one.

For light hearted humor, the Middle, modern family, blackish, the Goldbergs, fresh off the boat

Arrested development is quirky fun. I love curb your enthusiasm! My dd recommends Brooklyn 99 if you like parks and Rec.

It’s not a comedy, but I find the great British baking show to be very soothing and fun to watch.

Yes! I had heard so many people rave about this, and couldn't quite understand...once I started watching it, I got it.

I love this show, but to warn OP, it's about people who have died and are in the afterlife.

The new One Day at a Time is hilarious. It's a reboot using a Cuban American family.

And a huge thumbs up to the Great British Baking Show. It's definitely light and comforting!

Doc Martin. About a country doctor in England who can’t stand the site of blood. Beautiful scenery and plots. Quite humorous.
