Default ISO black sweater with the following criteria

This sweater would be perfect if it was long sleeved https://www.landsend.com/products/wo...00?sku_0=::ZTU

I have that sweater in a different color with long sleeves and assumed I could just go and buy the same in black but they don't have it this year.

Sweater needs to be cotton (no acrylic, wool, cashmere...), fine gauge (no chunky knits), no "sheen", crew neck (or boat neck), less than $70 though I can give a bit for the right item, higher quality than Target (who does have what I want but the quality is low), no adornments- just a plain, simple sweater.

I've searched a lot of websites but there are bound to be some I'm missing. Anyone up for a shopping search?

    Thanks!

Sorry! Guess I should have been more clear. I want a pull over crewneck, not a cardigan. And no wool (or acrylic, cashmere...). Just cotton. I have 2 good black cardigans!

Not sure if this is high enough quality, but great price!

This one looks promising (although the description of "raw, unfinished edges" doesn't match the photos)

I know this one is twice your budget, but it meets all your other criteria and I have it and was worth every penny. FWIW, I never pay full price and took the plunge for this and get compliments every single time I wear it. Not too tight, perfect crewneck, layers beautifully with another top underneath if you want, love the button detailing, etc.

I hadn't seen that on Macy's. I'll see if I can find it in the store so I can see how the quality is. Bummer about the Vince description- hard to know! I think I see what they mean though. Just not folded under at the edges. Looks promising though and the price is good. Thanks!

Thanks! Alas, the buttons, which are cute!, are a deal breaker. I want super simple so it's more of a blank slate style wise. Thanks for the brand recommendation though as I hadn't heard of it. I knew the board would help lead me to new finds!

What sweater did you end up getting? I am always looking for good 100% cotton sweaters as well.

None. I impulse bought a cheap one at Target just to tide me over until next fall, when there will hopefully be more selection. I really just want that Lands End one to be in black with long sleeves!

FWIW, I've been happy with all my Target sweaters. I don't put them in the dryer, but that's advice I would give for any sweaters, regardless of what the care instructions say.

Can you link the Target sweater? I like the Lands End one you posted originally though as well.
