What about a vegetable tray? There isn’t an option for a green salad

I would buy some bags of salad and a crudités and a dip if they aren’t included in the catering.

Default Quick—Is this enough food/variety for a baby shower from 1-3?

I can’t think of many venues that would allow that.

OP- ask. I bet they could/ would make a salad. A veggie tray isn’t the same but I guess I’d do it in a pinch. Roasted ones are more popular in my crowd.

I would pass on the sandwiches for reasons already mentioned, mainly, I don’t eat mayo. Might eat a piece of fruit or two. I would eat the warm items you have listed.

I do not think sandwiches, fruit and cake will be enough.

We are only allowed to bring in a cake. I will add a vegetable tray. Thank you all for your input. It’s hard to try to please everyone but I think everyone will have something they can eat and this crowd isn’t picky.

I would skip the salad. Everyone always says they want it. No one ever eats it.

If veggies are needed, go with crudités.

I also wouldn’t serve a salad. Many people are avoiding salad right now if they aren’t certain it’s source due to the E Coli outbreak.

Adding a veggie tray is a great idea.

At most showers, ladies will simply not eat much when surrounded by other ladies, lol. And as you said, it's too hard to please everyone. A fruit, veggie and sandwich option will be fine. Yes, there will be some who won't eat anything (or very little), but it gets expensive if you try to order lots to try and cover all diet options.

I just wonder if there is a sandwich option the caterer could add to the sandwich platter that is mayo-free, like ham? Turkey? Or could they simply add rolled ham or salami slices to the tray if folks would like a protein that doesn't have mayo (chicken/egg salad). I know it's not part of a traditional tea party, but it might appeal to a few more people.

To me, salad doesn’t go with the theme of finger foods so I will get the veggie tray. I’m not a fan of veggie trays but the mom we are honoring loves them.

At home I always eat gluten-free and soy-free but if at a party or baby shower I will eat whatever!!! I never eat sandwiches at home or when out, but would for sure eat the tea sandwiches at a baby shower, just like I did at the Mother's Day tea I went to last year. I'd rather eat anything than sit around starving! Tea sandwiches, fruit, veggies, salad, caprese skewers, all sound good to me!
