OK but... that ending offered no glimmer of hope!! They connected it and made it worse for me, I watched the whole movie thinking, "How can this help the Avengers?" and becoming convinced this quantum thing could do something to help. So, Hank, Hope and Janet made a small quantum tunnel that fit in the back of the van. Scott goes into the quantum realm to get more quantum energy for the Ghost.
