    Default Gift for Babysitter

We use a high school student 4 consistent hours a week for babysitting. She's been with us since April. She graduates high school in a few weeks and is going to college. Gift recs? Money? I am thinking money, but don't know how much.

I think I would give her an extra week of money. That said, I gave my step niece $50 when she graduated. She lives on the other side of the country from us and I have not spent a ton of time with her. I based the amount on where she lives and what was appropriate for her neighborhood and her family. I didn't want to give too much. I have spent a lot more time with her sister and would be inclined to give her $100 but won't because I want to keep it even.

Cash is king!! Especially for a college student!!!! You could also include a shirt, tumbler, etc. with her college logo on it.

Thanks! A week’s salary is a good metric and makes the most sense.
