Thanks for all of the info!! Good to know that this price is a normal amount. The original price was $5200, but we got a special referral discount making it $4600. I do plan on checking out another ortho or 2, but I do really like this one. The ortho who might be the "best" around here is the dad of DS1's really good friends. We do not mix friends/family and business so he is out. Thanks for adding to the list of pros/cons of Invisalign. DS1 is a really good candidate, but we will talk it over. Thanks again!!!

We met with two different orthos, and one just happened to be an Invisalign Specialist. His office was so much more comfortable, and all of the people who work their seem so happy. It was going to take 18+ months, and she could change out her trays every 7 days. It was going to be the same for braces or invisalign. We let our daughter decide. She's crazy responsible at 15, and we felt like she could handle it. The deciding factor for all of us was the sports element. We have seen a lot of bloody mouths in soccer and basketball from her friends being hit in the mouth. She chose Invisalign. It's kind of funny that ours was quoted 5200, and they knocked it down to 4500, and threw in an Ivri light that she uses for 10 minutes each night. It's got a value of 600.00, so they say. My daughter uses it every night, and she is now down to changing out the trays every 5 nights, and her treatment looks like it will be more like 14 months, as her teeth are really receptive to the Invisalign, and with her compliance, it's all going great.

My oldest uses Invisalign. He's doing great with it. He accidentally threw out his first pair the day he was about to change it for the next set. but other than that he's been very responsible. I'm happy with how things are progressing. We only have to visit the orthodontist once every 8-10 weeks. Same price as traditional braces. We visited two offices before deciding. Both practices recommended Invisalign for DS.
