What shade of purple? Dark purple is almost a neutral but bright purple isn’t, iykwim. I sense it might be bright to make a statement or is that also up to you?

The Lane Bryant dresses are really pretty but I’m not sure if those colors would go with purple sneakers, again depending on the shade.

I always forget about Torrid, but they do have some nice stuff.

The shoes are Chucks, and light purple (I haven't seen them)

What do y'all think of this one? It's my favorite cut, fall-ish colors and has purple in it: https://www.lanebryant.com/floral-la...lor/0000001692

Trying to remember other questions: brides are both in nice wedding dresses. I think their wedding is kind of a compromise between one of them wanting just to go to the courthouse and the other wanting a more traditional wedding, so there are most of the traditional trappings, but they're trying to be chill with the bridesmaids. I don't actually know any of the other bridesmaids, but could seek them out to see if they want to coordinate.

I like the latest Lane Bryant dress you just posted, OP as well the dress from Torrid snugglebuggles posted 2 postings before mine. Both are great Fall choices!

Yeah, I thought I'd be the cool bride and just told my bridesmaids to buy a dress in a fall color. Every single one, except for my cousin who clearly got my shopping gene, asked me to please just pick one out for them.

Anyway, I do wonder if they'd prefer you to wear a short dress since they specifically picked out sneakers. So just make sure a maxi dress is fine with them. I think a maxi can work. Although I'm not a fan of the ones you posted (sorry!) I think a jersey maxi would work better.

ETA: Oops, I missed that it was in October! Anyway, here are some cute dresses that probably won't work for October.

This one would look awesome with purple shoes. You could wear a shrug if you need to wear a bra:

I have this Boden one from a previous season, it's flattering.

This one gets mixed reviews, but I think the print would look lovely with a pop of purple.

I like that dress. I would be cold with no sleeves, but it would work with a cardigan if needed. (And maybe you don’t get cold as I do. )

Maybe I missed it, but I’m not sure where the wedding, etc., will be — indoors/outdoors, traditional wedding venue or more generic event space or someone's home, etc. (I did see that this may be a compromise between full-out traditional and the courthouse.) To me, that affects the style of the dress and whether temperature will be an issue. Of course, October weather around here can vary widely!
