    My 13yo DD1 is not into dresses, etc. Like your DD, she’s growing like a weed. I bring her to Clothes Mentor first before buying a ton of stuff online and shipping back. This way the selection isn’t overwhelming and my investment isn’t huge since it’ll most likely gather dust in closet. 😉 If she doesn’t find anything, then I head to the other stores.

    What is Clothes Mentor? I have never heard of this?

    I know I'm late to this thread, but my daughter bought her bat mitvah party dress at Macy's. We are big Nordstrom shoppers, but they really didn't have anything that seemed that would work for her. She got a lot of compliments on her dress by the adults. I know this has lace, but there's a non-lacy version.
