    Default Charisma Towels from Costco

These were on special recently so I bought three for the kids. THEY ARE MAKING ME CRAZY. I have now washed four times and the lint is still ridiculous. It gets on your skin and in the shower. I have used oxyclean and vinegar with extra rinses. Just curious if anyone else has these and had the same problem or any tips. I hate returning random stuff constantly to Costco but I would rather switch back to our old ratty towels than deal with this!

I have them and love them. Definitely some lint in my drier but not on me.

Never had this problem - they're great towels. Are you machine drying them?

Yes. I am going to try a couple more washes and see if that helps. It's kind of weird!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Costco towels! I find quite a bit of lint in the dryer after I dry them but never on us. We have them in our master bath and as our guest towels. I wouldn't return them just yet. Give them a bit more time. I wash them on sanitize cycle with vinegar each time I wash them.

    Yes to this....ours are grey.

If you take them back and need an alternative the Royal Velvet Egyptian towels from JC Penney are really nice as well.

Hmm....I love them, but have only purchased white. They did shed a lot in the dryer the first one (maybe two?) washes but I don't remember them shedding on us!

I think the quality has changed recently. We’ve purchased over the past few years at least a half dozen sets of (4) bath towels each color plus (4) matching hand/face towels to phrase out worn out, non Costco towels. They do shed heavily the first couple washes but the heavy lint usually tapers off after the 3rd of 4th laundering. This batch we got during the most recent sale has been absolutely awful lint wise. Plus they are not absorbent at all - it feels like you are just sliding the water around on your skin when toweling off. I honestly just need to gather them up and take them all back so they will have the feedback and encouragement to go back to the old formula. I usually reccomend these as such a great value but will hold off on doing so until they get the memo.

YES. DH mentioned they are totally not absorbent too. I was hoping that might improve also but I'm not sure that's how it works!
