Dress Question

I would love to get some nonbiased opinions on this dress I saw on clearance at Kohls. Check it out here:

I love this dress on! It is way more flattering on in person than in the pic at the website. Most dresses are way too long on me (I have short legs) but the length on this was perfect, just above the knee.

But, I'm wondering if I am too old for this dress. I am 51 and mom to a 17 year old. Any thoughts? I know people on here are way more fashion and trend savvy than me, so I would appreciate your honest opinions.

Sometimes I am clueless as to fashion and usually I do not worry about it too much but this time I just needed another opinion. I learn so much in this forum so I knew you guys would not steer me wrong.

I'm so glad to read your comments because I tried on the dress again last night after I posted and I really do love it, so I will wear it with confidence! And I also showed my DH and he said it looked great, so that was nice, too

I say wear what you think you will be comfortable in, and will wear again. I'm 51 and shop in the Jr section at most stores, and also pick up stiff at forever 21. That dress is super cute!
