    As an adult I started going every three months as well and it helps a ton. Like I said before I have one cavity but my teeth for some reason are more prone to tartar build up.

    I do the same for myself. When I turned 40, I started to get more build up (hormones maybe?) I go every 3 months and the hygienists all love me. Lol My teeth are quick to clean. I just had my first cavity a few weeks ago and I'm 48.

    I agree with PP, my kids go for cleanings every 3 months when they are in braces. Thankfully our insurance does cover it, but it really has helped to catch any potential issues (with brushing or cavities) early and keep their teeth clean.
