Rose Bowl trip - help!

A few more questions for anyone local or with experience.

We are staying at the LAX Marriott, which I realize isn't the best of locations, but it is what it is . Any recommendations for dinner near there? Is the area okay for walking around?

DS is staying at the Omni downtown. If we want to meet up with him, is the Metro the best way? And the same questions - dinner and safety?

Finally, if we want to go to Arcadia, is it better to just Uber? It seems like it takes a really long time by Metro. Will traffic be okay on Sunday do you think?

We aren't really sure what we will try to do on Sunday, so I'm trying to come up with a few alternates. DS won't know his final plans until tomorrow probably. He knows they play at Disneyland Saturday and is super excited for that!

And it's a bummer but the forecast doesn't look much warmer than it's been here lately! I'll definitely bring a couple of sweatshirts, a rain poncho and gloves.
