You are NOT alone. For the last two months, DC and I wake up every morning and state "Today is going to be a good day!" (per Evan Hansen) We have yet to have a day that doesn't fall apart, but the hope is there. For now, we try to ignore the parts that fall apart and focus on the good in every day. It is hard when there are more tough moments than there ever should be.
