To add another "goal" twist. Officially in soccer, the player in the goal is a goalkeeper, or keeper, not a goalie. Colloquial speak, however, all bets are off.

I'm guessing regional from this. To me, a basketball hoop is just the rim piece. The goal is the full backboard, etc.

I've only ever heard "basketball goal" and am pretty sure I used that search term when searching for one several years ago. That's funny.....I never realized it was called a "hoop"

I'm honestly shocked that Amazon is replacing the $600 item and not making you return the one that was delivered to the condo! I picture them doing that for something small, but not a $600 item! That's awesome customer service!
