Default What are you wearing this spring/summer?

Posting here for traffic. In particular, I am looking for items for a 2 week European vacation such as --

    • Thicker cotton Ts that are not too fitted. My usual go to shirts have gotten thinner and even look sheer (Banana Republic).
    • Super comfortable shoes (bad back/knees)
    • Comfortable dresses/skirts that could go from touring to dinners (I need to be more strategic with packing)
    • Comfortable but cute travel attire.
    • Something to wear for Taylor Swift Era's tour in Lyon (DD2 scored face value tickets on her 16th birthday which prompted the trip we wanted to take anyway).

Knees/shoulders will need to be covered to tour some cathedrals. I can bring a light sweater for shoulders if needed but will need pants or maxi skirts/dresses for bottom half (prefer to cover up scarred knees anyway).

I picked up these Cole Haan sneakers but they may not be comfortable enough: https://www.colehaan.com/womens-gran...er/W24775.html

I will probably use Nuuly for some dresses or skirts, so anthro items may be available. It is a nice way to demo items. My body shape has changed for the worse with age plus thyroid cancer and surgical menopause.

Definitely look into Athleta. Longer casual skirts, wide leg trousers, thicker tshirts. I love their dresses as well. I love the Breezy tanks. They go from work out to under a jacket or sweater. All the performance fabrics pack like a dream. Also for airplane, look at spanx.

I also recommend looking at Title Nine. Great curation of clothes, some in-house label, great performance fabrics. https://www.titlenine.com

There is a brand called loveappella that makes a lot of knit dresses and skirts. I bought a knit maxi skirt during the pandemic so. Could be “dressed” for Zoom, but still comfortable during my kids e-school year. Now, I wear it out and about. I always get compliments.

    I’ve been eyeing this t shirt https://www.whitehouseblackmarket.co...ionId=category
It seems loose, but dressy. I don’t know how thick it is.

I’ve purchased a super thin, almost sheer open cardigan from LOFT similar to this https://www.loft.com/clothing/sweate...&priceSort=DES very comfortable for the heat.

Mentioned Boden dresses (and clothes, in general) in your other thread. I think they have a nice European vibe.

For shoes I like Brooks Glycerin or Ghost models.

I also love my Teva Tirra sandals. https://a.co/d/hZA3Z95

I have a a long black Athleta skirt, wide leg beige pants, and joggers in Athleta that I plan to bring. I feel like the quality has gone down recently, with hems coming loose after a couple washes. I will revisit other items as well because I agree they pack very well and can be mixed up.

Thank you! I was not familiar with this brand and it looks like there are some great options.

I don't post here often now that my kids are mostly grown, but always get great suggestions. Thank you!

Sneakers- my Ghosts haven't been as good the past few years but they are still better than a lot of sneakers. I know people swear by OCs. You see those and Hokas all over Disney- another vey walking heavy vacation. I have an old pair of Sauconys that are my go too. They are more of a "fashion" sneaker but good for lots of walking. I think Adidas have a lot of cute and practical options.
