The aforementioned cardio study was limited in scope and not much can be extrapolated from it, according to my understanding. IF most likely works because it’s a form of calorie restriction. However, Stacy Sims and others question the benefits for late peri/post menopausal women. Most (all?) IF studies have been done on men.

Default clearly not our event, but what about mom graduation dresses?

I just bought this dress and it is surprisingly flattering. I liked the pattern and wasn’t sure about the ruffles but they actually work.

I am 5’6”, and am pear shaped.

Hmm, if this is what she's saying, I'd say she's not looking too hard. Here's what I found with a quick 1 minute search. I'm sure more studies need to be done, especially long term, but I really don't see how skipping breakfast and not snacking after dinner could be super negative to one's health. My mom (67) and I have been IF'ing for over 4 years now and find it super easy and natural.

I didn't find IF difficult, quite the contrary. I have never been a breakfast eater so during the work weeks I routinely did 20-4. It wasn't hard, nor was there any "break-in" period. It just never did anything for me, even after 4 years. I have since stopped this and have added in lunch, albeit a very light lunch of popcorn, nuts, or jerky. I am going to start back with lifting Strong Lifts is super simple.

The studies linked above are extremely small, especially for dietary/lifestyle studies. I would recommend significant caution in gleaning anything from such tiny studies.
