Most dresses fit me badly because I’m a size 10 on top and a size 14/16 on bottom. I usually have more luck with skirts and tops. But fit and flare dresses fit my pear shape well and Zara has some pretty ones this summer. This one is my favorite: https://www.zara.com/us/en/belted-sh...l?v1=311297384

Ok, so I have a navy Ann Taylor version of this dress, with many little buttons on one side. Tried it on, and it would work if I could lose a few lbs around the middle between now and June.

Great choice! I am still curious why you weren’t sure about a-line styles? That cut looks very flattering.

Also, to address premenopause weight gain in my belly, in January I decided to start the intermittent fasting that others have written about on here (Essence/Leticia comes to mind) and highly recommend giving it a try. It’s so simple and it works.

Me too! I started at the end of October and have been very happy doing it. It hasn't been the 'fast' loss that so many diets promote but it feels sustainable/a lifestyle I can manage. Happy to chat more about it in a spin off thread if anyone's interested....

I finally gave it up after 4 years. I maintained only and suddenly I have gained a bunch and my diet has seriously not changed. It works for many though!!

I'll try IM fasting. ANYTHING is worth a try! What hours do you do?
Yes, the A-line is my usual dress of choice. I'm so boring.

Re IM, it’s not recommended for menopausal / peri women. I highly recommend you lift weights and listen to Stacy Sims.
