Default Old World Cradle by Green Frog Art

Hi everyone! Please help! I've completely fallen in love with the very expensive, but very beautiful, Old World Crib by Green Frog Art. I did not see anything in the Baby Bargains book about this company, nor was there anything about them in the Parental Product Reviews. Has anyone heard of this company? Does anyone have this crib? Can anyone tell me anything about the quality, safety, and customer sevice regarding this brand? The only thing I have been able to find online in terms of product reviews are for the matching cradle. But, I would like some (any) information about the crib. You can order it online at Posh Tots or through another company called Mini Tots; or you can get it at USA Baby....they have many cradles by this company on the floor and then you can order the matching cribs, changing tables, and toy chests too. Since this crib is so extremely expensive ($850) I want to make sure I am getting a good quality product if I do decide to purchase it. Anything anyone can tell me about this company would be so very appreciated! Thank you!!!

I was browsing in a local store with another couple. My friend's husband does alot of woodworking as a hobby and is fairly knowledgeable about building furniture. He commented on the high quality of the construction of this piece. I thought the look of the piece was beautiful - the pictures I have seen online do not give it justice. Very nice but extremely expensive (hello MIL)

I haven't seen the crib in person, but I have seen the cradle and it was very solid, sturdy and beautiful! I also have some of their artwork which is very cute.

You may want to check the Green Frog Art website to see if a local specialty store carries their products.

Good luck!

I am 99% sure that I saw the Old World cradle (not crib) at Costco a few weeks ago here in Utah. I don't know anything about it, but it was around $350 if I remember correctly.

Oops! I just realized I titled my original post "Old World Cradle by Green Frog Art." When, in fact, I meant Old World CRIB by Green Frog Art. I'm not actually considering buying the cradle....I was at first, but then I found out there was an Old World Crib that matches the cralde. So, does anyone out there have the Old World Crib? I called Green Frog Art and was told that it just started shipping in Feb. 07, so it hasn't been around for that long. I'm wondering if the wood is really pure wood, or if it is veneer? For those of you who do have the cradle, can you tell me if it is veneer or actually real wood? Thanks again everyone and sorry for the confusion. It is good to know that those of you who have purchased the cradle are very happy with it....at least that gives me an idea into the quality of the company's products.

Daniele,

I have a son in heaven. I'm sure he's playing with your daughter. My heart goes out to you and your family, for only another bereaved parent can truly understand the pain of losing a child.

Thank you so much Carrie! I really appreciate that! I am truly sorry for your loss as well. It will be 4 years for us on April 30th.

Good luck finding the crib!!

Daniele,

I will be thinking of you and your family on Monday. We just had our first anniversary this past February...our son was born on February 23, 2006, and died just 3 and a half hours later. It was a very difficult day to get through. I pray you have the support of your friends and family, as I can imagine the fourth anniversary is no easier than the first. Until I am with my son again in Heaven, I know that not one day will go by that I will not miss him. I don't believe it gets any easier over the years....just that we get more used to living with the grief. Take some time for yourself on Monday and do whatever you need to do to get through the day.
