UPDATE(Still No Luck w/ Attaching!!!) : Choosing Outfit for 8-month-old boy's beach portrait

Hello All-

I have been remiss in scheduling DS for his formal baby portraits and finally have a date with a great photographer to take some at the beach in Aug. She likes the natural look and has suggested seersucker overalls by Hartstrings for DS. Except, I never see that brand where I shop...and it seems I shop a lot ;-)

The photographer is open to suggestions and also likes anything in that distinct light blue of oxford shirts (I think it might be chambray??)

And OMG, I'm not even going to go there now, what should I wear???? Well first things first...any advice on outfits for DS????

also, some very cute little jon jons. perfect for no shirt, beach/summer look. not "dressy" but looks very clean and i dunno, nice.

I have a Hartstrings outlet close by (in AZ), but have never seen anything in a store. Sorry I can't help, but I know the ladies here can help you find that perfect outfit!

Thanks for the suggestion, Liza! Now I know I've seen jon jons mentioned on these boards before and I "think" they are like rompers?? And whre do you go for "jon jons"??

I'm about to go checkout House of Hatten online. They were once my absolute favorite brand b/c I love their smocking. So much so that before DS was even born I'd bought one of HOH's longalls from a boutique and paid $52 !!! And then of course I found the same thing at their online outlet for 1/2 price so of course I bought it in the 3-6 mo size too. Now here's the beef. DS couldn't even wear the 3-6 mo. one b/c I found their "rise" to be too short. Anyone else solve that problem?

Jon Jons are just shortalls - very cute. They would be perfect for a beach portrait! I find that they typically run one or two sizes small. Maybe that would solve the "rise" problem?
