I have a 2002 Toyota Highlander and I have just installed the roundabout rear facing on the driver's side using the latches. However, I would like to tether the seat but am unsure as to where to attach the tether to. The car manufacturer owner's manuel is no help for rear facting and the Britax instructions are vague. Could someone please help?
Thanks so much for all the insight gained from this site!!!! Noahsark ;-) |

one place to start is the britax website
britaxusa.com click on "installation tips" - you will need to click thru several times to get to the right page, but you will eventually get to a list of acceptable places for the rear-facing tether & each item listed is a link to photo image. basically, you want to loop the connector strap/D-ring around a structural non-moving part down in or near the back passenger's "feet area" and attach the tether hook to the D-ring. |

I went to the website and I cannot find the installation tips page. Where is the link. I found the the actual owner's manuels but is there another page of tips? Also, I understand understand the D ring suggestion but by driver's seat is automatic so I can't attach it to the seat and I can find no place that is structurally sound. Now what????

wow they just totally re-designed their website. under FAQ they refer to their installation tips page, but i can't find it either
call their toll free number and ask them. maybe it's a glitch their website development people need to work out, or maybe we just can't find it now - which isn't very good! the list of places and photos may really help you find a spot so I hope you can get it to come up sorry 'bout that! |

I would just call Britax customer service. I called them with a technical question and they were very helpful. Sometimes they will tell you things that they won't print in the instruction manual.
