Default How do you clean a pillow top mattress?

I know, this is gross, but DD vomited and it soaked thru the sheet and thru the mattress pad on my shiny white pillow top. I didn't realize it had soaked thru until too late. Do I dare use a bleach pen? I've tried Shout w/ a toothbrush and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Searched the Simmons web site to no avail.

Help!

I don't have any BTDT advice, but do you have carpet cleaner? I have this crazy idea that it would work. :+ (where's the crazy idea smilie?)

I used my little green machine on our mattress. It worked well, just be very careful that it doesn't snag the mattress.

Good luck!

we had a little accident on our mattress, and I used baking soda. Just dry - really work it in to soak up anything, with lots of good paper towels.

What a bummer! I have no idea about the cleaning bit, but just wanted to tell you for future reference that Garnet Hill has awesome waterproof mattress pads - they are not crinkly/plasticky at all and have protected our mattries any number of disgusting messes.

My mom is the vomit-cleaning-up queen. She used Basic G on all our throw-up stains throughout childhood. It's a fantastic, concentrated, eco-friendly germicide and cleaner. Basic H is also great...I've used them both in my own home when my dog pees or throws up on our bed. http://www.shaklee.com/product/Cleaners

Before the cleaners, we also used our carpet cleaner's hand held attachment with some bissel solution. Make sure you get that stain out b/c stains can void your mattress warranty. Just an FYI. Spot Shot (blue and orange spray miracle cleaner) should get out any staining.
