introducing Isabella Ann
She is here! Isabella Ann was born on Saturday morning (Dec 18th) via C/S at 8:14am. She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz, 19 inches long. All is well with her and me. She lost a little weight while in the hospital and now weighs only 7lbs 5oz,and comapred to Julia (almost 10 lbs at birth) Isabella seems so small and is our little peanut. She is a very sweet baby and rarely cries or fusses. She loves to be held and has not been put down since we got home.
I was very nervous about the C/S but it was so easy and much better than I remember. I would have loved a VBAC but the C/S really wasn't bad. Recovery is going well- I could not do it wo/ DH being home though. The best news is that I am officially a nursing mom!!!!!!!!!! With Julia, gave up after a few weeks (for reasons that I now know were preventable) and still am sad about not nursing her. It feels so good to nurse Isabella- I almost welcome the sore bleeding nipples! :) There was no LC at the hospial all weekend (grrr) but the nurses were very supportive and willing to help me. No one ever mentioned formula, pacifiers, etc. Julia loves her and loves to hold her. She says she is going to share all her toys with Bella (Julia's nickname for her). The only time that is difficult is when I can't always be a part of our nightime routine. Attaching a picture of Isabella. She has a ton of dark hair! More than DH and I had even. Congratulations! She is beautiful. Glad to here the BF is going so well. I promise that all that discomfort will pass quickly. Julia sounds like a great big sister. Get some rest. Can't wait to see more pics. (hint-hint) Teva Mom to AJ born 1-8-03
