We want to get the anywhere chair from Pottery Barn. It's $100. Does this chair ever go on sale? Or does Pottery Barn ever have % off coupons? I'm considering buying a chair at Target for $40, but it's not nearly as nice.

I've seen certain colors go on sale - usually just is this the covers, so you don't save much $$. I've never seen a PBK coupon code. One trick is to set up a registry for yourself, add the item you want, and set the event date within a few days. Then you will get a 10% discount on any items in your registry.
I saw the Target chair IRL ( I debated getting it too) and it was HORRIBLE. The insert was some cheap-o filling, maybe something inflatable (like the Rose Petal cottage chair) and the cover didn't fit well. I would not buy it even considering how cheap it is. I think I'm going to get a small beanbag instead of the chair for my 2 yo- the chairs take up a lot of room, and I think the beanbag is more comfortable. They have the beanbags at our toddler gym and my daughter really likes them. Even when we go to PBK stores, she's never shown any interest in sitting in the Anywhere Chair, so I just think it's not worth it. Darcy |

I second not getting the Target chair. I checked it out in person and was not impressed. I think I'm going to go with the green polka dot anywhere chair. It's too cute to pass up.

The Target chair is shaped like an anywhere chair, but the bottom is a beanbag-type material, so it loses its shape. That's what I don't like about it. My son likes to sit in my lap & uses a friend's chair when he is at her house, so I do want to get a chair of some sort. I've checked out eBay and the inserts are about $20 cheaper (including shipping), so I may do that.

No, but you can buy the inserts (new) on Ebay for considerably less and add whatever cover you want.

We got ours from Ebay - covers from one place (about $25) with $12 covers from PBK (on sale, fs).

This may or may not help, but if you happen to know anyone that works at PB Kids, they get a 40% discount. My cousin works there part time and got me a chair and a cover for $60.
Long shot, but I thought I'd throw it out there... Kirsten |

Oh, I had a friend who worked there, but she quit a few months ago

I third not getting the Target chair. I was excited when I saw the price, but the bean bag filling is just too cheap

The Cordaroy's kiosk at our mall has some chairs like the anywhere chair for $50 in pink, red, and light blue. This included the cover and insert together. It felt like regular foam, not bean bag filling, and the fabric cover was removable. The salesman made a point of saying it was the same manufacturer as used by PBK. I don't know about that, but they did seem well made. I can't find them on Cordaroy's website but maybe a location near you has them or can order them.
