Any Grand Caravan owners?

I never thought I'd want a minivan, nor an American car, nor a car with automatic transmission, but we rented a Dodge Grand Caravan SXT this week for a short trip and I am in love with it.

Of course, Avis failed to give us an owners manual and, for the life of me, I could not find the top tether anchor for any of the seats? Does it not have them? ALso, is it oK that the top of DS's radian is higher than the back of the 3rd row?

Also, I had a hard time convincing DH that you cannot swivel the captains chair with a carseat in it (I put my foot down and told him that car seats are not designed nor tested for seats that face the back of the car--I'm right, right?) I, however, sure loved that swivel seat. I reclined back and put my feet up on the 3rd row and slept like a baby

Too bad the stinkin thing costs almost 30grand...

Still curious if anyone knows about the top tethers?

I've looked at them. There is a top tether on both 2nd row captain's chairs and in the middle of the 3rd row. The tether is on the seat back, near the bottom of the seat.

You can swivel with a carseat, but can't drive with it in any position other than forward. Swiveling to load a kid sounds nifty to me .

The Caravan has one top tether, third row center, IIRC (we just discussed this in the lounge a couple weeks ago - do a search, I think it was KrisM that started it). You cannot add them to the third row outboard seats. Yes, you are correct that you cannot swivel the seats with a carseat installed.
