Ever considered a new category like FSOT?

Just curious if the idea has ever been tossed around for mamas on this board to sell or trade their gently-used baby items. I know there are obvious concerns about fraud, so perhaps only serious members with over 1,000 posts can sell things?? Not sure. Just an idea b/c I recently bought a baby carrier on the FSOT board of TBW.

Hi Jenny: Thanks for that suggestion. We've had requests for that before, but we've stayed away from any commercial uses of the board. We don't have the staff to referee the inevitable disputes, fraud and other problems that would happen from a for-sale board. I agree that limiting it to folks with a high number of posts might solve part of the problem---so we'll mull that one over and consider it!

Ummm....do a search on BBB-Swap and see if you can find anything on the Yahoo group. i think you have to have a certain number of posts, then apply.

Kind of dumb question...I just applied to the swap board. How will they know how many posts I have and how long I've been a member if my yahoo id is different from my id here?

You should receive a questionnaire to fill out, and that's where you'd indicate your BBB username. If not, send a message through this board to MartiesMom2B. I believe she's one of the BBB-Swap moderators.
