Well I know you wouldn't EAT the shampoo, but for those strictly avoiding gluten I thought I'd mention that I noticed Wheat Gluten listed as an ingredient in Aveeno's new 'natural' shampoo. I think it was the one for dry hair. I didn't read the others.

Similarly, the handsoap from Tom's of Main has wheat gluten as an ingredient. Harmless to 98% of us but to celiac types, worth avoiding!

This is good to know. I actually have a topical wheat allergy. Usually wheat germ oil causes the strongest reaction, but any kind of wheat in the ingredients can give me a rash.
Oddly, I eat wheat all the time. I have thought I probably should try a wheat-free (not necessarily gluten-free) diet, but I just don't know if I could give up my whole wheat products. Pathetic, huh?

Oh, do try giving up wheat and seeing how it makes you feel. I'm sharing this not to scare you but just because it's important..... my MIL had an undiagnosed wheat intolerance for about 20 years. Doctors kept telling her that the headaches and digestion issues and other associated problems were 'anxiety'. She's 1st generation Italian and pasta was her comfort food. Very sadly, during this timeframe she did do some long-term damage to her health that she is having to deal with now. She also suffered a series of miscarriages which were probably related. Wheat intolerance does need to be taken seriously.
