Default Can't find DS's social security card

I thought it was on our counter forever, I would look at it every day, and then I remember thinking that it wasn't a good place for it, so I "put it away" somewhere. But when I looked int the folder where I thought I put it, I could find mine, DH's, DD's but not DS's!
Gah! Where the heck is it?

Good luck!!!!

I recently made a list of "obvious" places I put things so that maybe it will help me locate things that I actually put in a ridiculous place that there was no way I was going to remember.

Can I get another one?
Does anyone know how to get the number? I need it for our taxes.

Crap, I need to find DS2's card as well. You have to go to an office to get a replacement. Check out their website for requirements.

I was just on the website, yah. The girl at our tax office just gave me a number to call too. I feel like such a scatterbrain! I seriously have NO IDEA where it is now if it's not on the counter or in that folder.

Probably doesn't help, but I found DS's birth certificate in our deep freezer. No, I have no idea what that was about.

The biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make...I did not live in the moment enough. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get on to the next thing: dinner, bath, book bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less. - Anna Quindlen

What the???

It would help if my phone would actually keep a call going for longer than 2 min. on the automated system. Can I throw my iphone out the window now???
Luckily skype is working!

Ok, now I am realizing that I never got the form notarized to get his birth certificate. So he has no birth certificate and I need that to get a replacement card if I don't know his SS number. Not sure if I would win, but I am definitely nominated for the boneheaded, scatterbrained mom of the month award.

I might check the folder behind and in front of the one you thought you put it in...that happened to me one time. I thought I put my ss card in one folder, but had accidentally dropped it in the one right behind it. GL! I hate when I lose things!!
