Did anyone else get an email with a credit from Amazon?

I woke up this morning to find this email from Amazon. Did anyone else get one? I was sad not to get the item I wanted, but I am glad they realized they had a problem and are trying to do something about it. Susan

I got the same one but it was a $5.00 credit. There was nothing that I remember not getting so was surprised to see the credit. I'm not sure what the error was but I'll take the credit. It is already spent

I actually had posted a thread re. problems checking out on lightning deals on Friday.

Is the promo credit for anything, or do you need to purchase the item you were trying to get?

I had already received a promo credit after contacting customer service, so I now feel like it would be double dipping.

I got two different kind of emails. One was a $5 credit that could be used on anything. It did not mention a specific item, just that it was for problems that prevented me from getting the Lightning Deal on an item.

The second one mentioned a specific item and said that I could still get the Lightning Deal if I added it to my cart, due to technical difficulties.

I got both as well. It was for some chocolate thing.

Nada for me, but I don't think I've tried to get any lightning deals either.
