Default Do you wear an apron when you cook?

I almost never do- always forget that I could/ should. Then again, I don't enjoy cooking, so I spend about an hour a day cooking dinner for us... if I were cooking for hours at a time, I'd probably wear one.

How about you?

WOOPS! Sorry about option 4! Meant it to say 'other'! :-(

I don't, but DH always does and he does the cooking about 90% of the time.

and the Other option is kind of funny

I said never but that's only because I don't own one! I need to make myself one, but am afraid of my sewing machine!! Dh thinks it's quite comical and hilarious that I have lots of large power tools (miter saw, table saw, drill, etc) but am afraid of how to use my sewing machine!!

I have ruined shirts due to oil splatters, etc. It's quite annoying.

I don't and can't think of anyone I know who does.
I am totally stealing that "other" for every poll now on! I hate how uneditable polls are

OP, I thought you did option 4 on purpose, it's hilarious.

I do sometimes, if I think there's a high splatter potential. Like making pizza sauce with immersion blender.

Me too. I wear one very, very rarely. DH wears one more often, like when he's cooking a big Thanksgiving dinner or something. He looks very cute in one.

I'm glad you made this a multiple choice poll.

I don't have an apron, but I keep telling myself to get one- at least get one for my DH. He is always getting stuff on himself when he cooks.

Always! Because otherwise I ruin my clothes
I cook from scratch, 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. Messy stuff going on in my kitchen.
I adore "Flirty Housewife Aprons" on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/listing/21745062...ref=vl_other_1

I do now. I used to not, only when I was cooking very splattery stuff. But now this apron is on me pretty much all the time. It's not just cooking, but cleaning up. I end up with random stains on my shirt, and I get those mysterious little holes at the beltline too. So the only time I take it off is to leave the house.

I do sometimes. Especially when baking with DD and she reminds me about our cute matching aprons we got as a gift.
