recs / raves convertable car seat r/o

my DH wants to buy an omega (is that the THE EDDIE BAUR ALPHA OMEGA) car seat that seats up to 80 lbs (starts off rear facing than flips around to front facing)

anyone bought this car seat??? rec/raves

what about the century version.

any other recs/raves/rants???
