Hi! I am hoping that someone can provide a recommendation of a double stroller to use instead of my Peg Perego Tender XL. I had bought a used Tender XL when I was pregnant with #2 (who is now a week old) because I wanted it to match my PP car seat that I had used with #1. My husband and I took it to the mall for the first time this weekend, and we both hated it. There is something wrong with the back tire that we are going to fix, which makes it wobbly and hard to steer, but aside from that, it feels like we’re pushing a bus!
I love my PP P3 single and how easy it steers and collapses. Is there anything in the doubles world that I would love just as much? I’d like to find a double stroller that I can use while #2 is a newborn, and then also through the next year or so until my daughter is ready (and willing) to use a sit and stand type stroller. Here are some additional details: •#1 is 27 months and small for her age (about 25 lbs, 32). She loves to sit in the stroller instead of walking when we go out. •#2 is a newborn. •Stroller would be used primarily for inside and pavement/sidewalk usage. •Would highly prefer a model that can accommodate an infant seat, for those times that #2 is sound asleep and I do not want to wake him for a short errand. If not, at least a flat fold on one of the seats for him. •Compact fold/lightweight (I am petite and lifting the Tender XL is not fun for me!) •Adjustable handles or handles that accommodate shorter parents (Neither my husband or I are extremely tall – I am just over 5’ and my hubby is about 5’8). I think that’s it. Should I just deal with the Tender XL for the next five or so months until #2 is out of his infant seat and then get something new, or is there an ideal stroller out there for me that will allow use of his infant seat and then fit my needs for both children once he is out of it. Also, we do plan a few trips (like to Disney) over the next year or so, so it would be nice if it had a canopy (or ability to add an additional canopy) to block out the sun when in the park. Thank you for your help! It is GREATLY appreciated. |
